Yet on the other hand, I get so excited about the great books we are going to include and many of you like to play detective an idea of what is coming up so I’m going to give you some idea about all 3 fab books that will be in our November 2019 book subscription box.

In no particular order:

Book 1:

The first book I want to tell you about is wrapped in yellow gold paper to match the cover! I love it when I discover a book that is a little different and unexpected and that is true of this book. It has all the best aspects of a crime thriller and is also something of a coming-of-age story, a journey of self discovery for our heroine. Said heroine is a university student and the novel focuses on four students and their eccentric professor.

It is filled with love, loss, obsession, secrets and Agatha Christie references scattered throughout to boot! It's like an unlikely combination of Liane Moriarty and Agatha Christie and I just know you are going to love it!

Book 2:

The next book I have wrapped in red craft paper and is a Gothic piece of historical crime fiction.

Set in Victorian Birmingham and it tells the haunting tale of a young girl born to in prison and brought up in the workhouse as she tries to come to terms with her terrible past and make a future for herself. The story takes some dark twists and turns, taking on the question of nature v nurture and includeing some sinister scientific experiments.

The protagonist in this novel cannot fail to affect you and will stay with you long after you close the book on the last page...

Book 3:

The third book completing the set of 3 books, I was super excited to read.

Written by a British BBC newsreader and former foreign correspondent and set in South Africa, the premise was powerful and I was keen get hold of a copy as soon as I could. The book did not disappoint, it was powerful with great political depth and portrays the drama and violence in the new South Africa with a detail only someone with experience of that time and country could.

When the son of a super-rich, influential land owner, known for opposing political views to his father is murdered, two childhood friends find themselves in danger and racing to find the truth.

Can you deduce the books in question? Happy mystery solving!
